2-month appointment

Emma had her 2-month appointment with Dr. Moore today! She weighed in at 9 lbs., 6.5 oz. That's the 25th percentile. She measured 22 1/4 inches long. That's the 50th percentile. She's a lean, slender baby. The tall, ballerina type? :)

Taking a moment looking at Daddy and listening to all he has to say. He's funny.
Despite Emma's face in this picture, we all really like Dr. Moore. All of us! Emma was just sick of not having any clothes on and a little bored (and hungry, of course). Mommy insisted on a picture. So Emma got her vaccinations today. Not even going to get into the debate about vaccinating or not vaccinating. It is too deep and too involved. James and I haven't had the luxury of time nor the resources to properly research the issue but we do trust Dr. Moore. Plus, we just saw the story on the children in California who got measles -- six of the nine kids who got it were not vaccinated for the disease. So again, not getting into the debate unless we have hours and hours and hours and pages and pages and pages of research to back up our decision. We don't have the expertise nor the knowledge and so we chose to trust the experts and the American Academy of Pediatrics. They dedicate their lives to protecting our children and DO have the hours and hours and hours and pages and pages and pages of research to back up their recommendations.

Emma has been so sweet today. Sleepy and only a little fussy -- and even then, she just whimpers a little bit and wants to snuggle. So thankful she has not had any adverse reactions to her shots today. She is such a little angel. We love our baby girl.
