Emma is one week old today! Happy 1-week birthday, munchkin!

First thing this a.m., just waiting for her to wake up a little bit more before breakfast.

It's 8:28 a.m. Exactly one week from today at this time, our beautiful baby daughter was born. Our lives have changed forever -- for the much, much, much better.

Our awesome, caring and thoughtful pediatrician. Dr. has been to visit us nearly every day. He gave us a newborn baby book called "Your Baby's First Year" from the American Academy of Pedicatrics and in the inside, wrote "Congrats! You and Emma will overcome this small setback. I will be there with you through this. Bill." We could not be happier with him. James said when he was first standing in the NICU the day Emma was born, all of a sudden Dr. was by his side, telling him what was going on and what the other doctors were doing. We thank God for guiding us to this doctor -- have NO DOUBT he will care for Emma in the best way.

Okay, so nursing has been a bit of a challenge the past two days but today...we were FOUR FOR FOUR! FOUR awesome feedings. Good job, Emma! Mom and daughter are figuring out how to speak the same language and today was such a GREAT day! Praise God! We prayed a lot about this yesterday. Jesus answers prayers!
